Feature and Follow Friday: Dream Jobs

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work?

The goal is to increase blog followers and make friends. First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you! What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed. All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.
This weeks Question:
If you could have any job, what would you do?
KIMI:
If I could have any job, I'd be a film director or a writer. I love being on set and shoots and I've always wanted to turn my ideas and stories into film!
If not in film, I'm okay with TV as well. And one of my dream jobs is to work on the TV show Doctor Who, even as an extra or an assistant, I'd do anything to be part of my favorite show !

BERYL:

I don't really know what specific job I want yet, but I definitely want something related with fashion or beauty! I enjoy watching look books and tutorials, and I think I can see myself creating outfit ideas or make-up looks. :)

AUDREY:

As of right now, I don't have anything in particular that I want to do. I don't have my mind set on any particular thing and every single time I'm asked this question, my answer changes. I want to do a lot of different things that don't even seem to be related to each other.

I wanted to do something related to cosmetics before, but now, I'm a bit more interested in entertainment, especially those jobs that require a lot of speaking as I do really love talking. I also like learning new languages and speaking is something that I am, for the most part, confident in. I also want to do some programming? IDK. Something related to technology? That has always interested me too. One thing that I am sure about is that I want to study in a different country in the future. I actually have my eyes set on Singapore, but I don't know if I could even get the opportunity to study abroad. Well, I still have a lot of time to think about this, so I won't stress over it too much right now.

How about you guys? What job would you want? :)

Interviewing Divergent Gryffindor: Week 1

25
We recently asked a couple of bloggers to answer a few interview questions. Every week, we will be posting the response of various bloggers, and by various we mean book/fashion/food/beauty bloggers. We really had fun doing this and we were able to talk to some bloggers, and became blogger friends too. This week's featured blogger is known as Divergent Gryffindor! Get to know more about her by reading her answers with our questions. We really enjoyed reading her answers, and we hope you do too! :)

1. Share your favorite joke or chat-up line.
I can't remember anything funny right now! I'm a pretty boring person, sorry.

2. Most embarrassing moment?
I can't think of the most embarrassing moment, but here's a book-related thing. I was waiting while Melissa de la Cruz was signing my copy of Blue Bloods, when she asked me if I have read the book yet. I was on an internal battle because I didn't want to admit that I haven't read any of her books yet, but what if she asks me about it? So then I decided to tell the truth. I asked her to sign my friend's book too, and she asked me if I knew who their favorite characters were, and I just shook my head no! I actually didn't know any of the characters! I just brought Blue Bloods because I didn't want to miss the opporunity, and also, because there were two other authors in the event. I was so embarrassed, I wish I read the first book before meeting her!

3. Zodiac sign?

Saguittarius. :)

4. Most daring thing you've ever done?
Zip-lining! Yeah, it's lame, I know. I'm a pretty boring person. :P

5. If you were about to be dropped in a pit of lava, what would you
choose as your last words?
I can't think of anything now.

6. Who is your favorite cartoon character?

My favorite cartoon is Phineas from Phineas and Ferb! Even at 17, I still watch that cartoon. HAHA!

7. When you were a kid, what was the thing that was understood by
everyone but misinterpreted by you? (Example: ______ used to wonder
why people said that there was 0% interest. She means why would anyone
buy it if it wasn't even the slightest bit interesting?)

I can't remember anything like that! :O

8. Who is your favorite blogger?
I don't really have a favorite blogger, but I have bloggers I look up to.

9. Future plans?
Save the world! Just kidding! It's actually always been a dream of mine to help an orphanage. I don't know why, I just thought of it back when I was still a kid! :)

10. Animal that you would own as a pet? (Birds, cats, dogs, fishes,
bunnies, and guinea pigs not allowed)
Dolphins! Aren't they just cute?

11. Do you believe ants are nutritious?
Uh, no. I'm scared of ants, actually, when there are a lot of them at once. *shivers*

12. Star Wars or Star Trek?
None? I know, I know. How lame am I, right?

13. Favorite superhero?
I don't like super heroes. I don't watch them. I have no childhood, I know! T.T I even fell asleep while watching Avengers. (Don't kill me, please!)

14. Favorite super villain?
Same answer as above.

15. Name one thing you love about yourself?
I love that I love reading! Teehee. :3

16. TBH…
I don't know why I'm still blogging. It's not that I don't love it, because I really do. It's just that I tend to get tired and quit things easily, but it's different with blogging.

17. What is your favorite shirt/dress/pants/jacket/hoodie/any piece of
clothing? Attach a picture.

I love the shirt because I love nautical stuff, and I love the shoes because it goes with anything! :D
(Same pic as my 'selfie')

18. Word that best describes you?
CRAZY.

19. Favorite app?
Kindle, no question! :D I get easily bored with games, that's why the answer would change everytime, so I chose a non-gaming app.

20. What food do you crave right now? Attach a picture

 I LOVE FOOD!! <3

21. What's the thing you can't live without?

Internet. I can't imagine a world without internet, even though we didn't have internet back when I was younger. But now that I've gotten used to it, I can't live without it. Besides, how would I be able to blog without the internet?

22. What's your happy place?

My quiet room, where I can be alone to read or catch up on TV series. :D

23. You just murdered someone. How would you dispose of their body?
(Examples: throw it in the ocean, bury it, dissolve it Breaking Bad
style) We're just curious, promise. :)

I'll throw the body into the ocean, so it can't be found. Also, because I'm not that original. Hart, hart. :))

24. Attach a selfie!

I know it's not exactly a 'selfie'. But hey, at least I'm alone in the picture! Sorry, I only have few pictures alone wherein I look like a normal human being. HAHA! :))

Book Blogger Love-a-Thon // Mini Challenge #4: Mash-Up

We were very excited for this challenge because we already had the perfect idea for it. Our idea was to mix fashion with books. We thought that it would be perfect since fashion seems to be far from books though there are books about fashion. Aside from fashion, we also had the idea of mixing our love for food with our love for books. We had a really hard time in deciding which one we should use so in the end we decided to do both.

First, we will write about fashion and books mashed-up. How did we choose to do this? Well, we decided to choose a character and an outfit of hers that we would want to wear too. The character we have chosen is Lola from Lola and The Boy Next Door. She has a very quirky fashion sense. We believe that fashion isn't about wearing nice, expensive, and branded clothes but about expressing who you are through what you wear. Lola does exactly that and is proud of it.

We all admire her for not being afraid to go beyond what other people believe is normal. We would want to wear the outfit that she planned to wear to her prom. She wasn't just going to buy it, she was actually gonna make it. From scratch. She wanted to make a Marie Antoinette-type dress. Just imagining it made us want to steal the dress and go to prom wearing it. There are a lot of other fashionable characters out there and we respect them just as much as we do Lola. Remember that fashion is about who you are and not about who people want you to be.

Our next choice is food. We just LOVE eating! We eat when we're happy, sad, angry, excited, scared, and basically any other emotion. We even eat just because we're bored. How do you even connect food with books? We guess it's how, like food, books can be sweet, bitter, or bitter-sweet. There is also the recipe to a perfect book. Like creating a new dish, you can create a new book. You can use unique themes with unique characters and plots. You can also choose to use a "recipe" in making a book. Meaning, you already have a basis for what the book should be. It could be a cliché but approached differently. It can be the same recipe just treated differently depending on the author and/or cook. Just like the fact that there are no books that are exactly the same, there is no dish that is the exactly the same with a different one. Every book and every dish is unique.

What about you? What else are you passionate about aside from books? What's your hobby mash-up? :)
