Publisher: Morning Rain Publishing
Synopsis:
A quick death within Manannan’s hot embrace would be far easier to endure than a bitter life away from the sea, but Melanie is not the giving-in kind.
Hailey’s Round is no longer safe, and 17-year-old Melanie Strickland is at the center of the turmoil. Raised by her fisherman grandfather, Melanie has always felt
connected to the sea. When she begins to hear whispers on the wind, something within awakens, and she can’t ignore the call of the Deep.
connected to the sea. When she begins to hear whispers on the wind, something within awakens, and she can’t ignore the call of the Deep.
Tales of the good folk begin to circulate, but the Celtic folklore of the Tuatha De Danann mean more than bedtime stories to Melanie. With the Sea King, Manannan, on the hunt for his soul mate, and his rival, Rhiannon, the vengeful human slaver, bridging the gap between reality and myth, Melanie and the little fishing town are in grave danger.
Ignoring Rhiannon’s warnings, and the wishes of those she loves most, Melanie can’t resist Manannan’s hunger. Knowing her betrayal could cost her life, her boyfriend, and her family, Melanie is determined to reclaim a forgotten past, the future, and her connection to the Deep.
