This week's topic is top ten popular authors we've never read.

We are so ashamed to admit that we haven't read any books of these popular authors, YET! :(

1. Mitch Albom
A lot of people have been giving praise to Mitch Albom and Mitch Albom's books. I don't know why I haven't read any of his books yet, but I could always blame that to my never ending tbr list. HEEHEE.

2. Maureen Johnson
If you know me, you would know that I simply ADORE Maureen Johnson. I've been stalking her Twitter and blog for such a long time now, BUT - my secret? I have NEVER read a single book written by her EVER. Not even a short story. Not anything. It's just that I'm afraid I won't like her books and my perception of her would just get ruined... did that make sense? I know I'm weird that way.

3. Veronica Rossi
Why haven't I read Under the Never Sky before? I really do not know.

4. Stephenie Meyer
I know that Twilight has become really popular but I haven't read the books yet! I think that this is mainly because it is too mainstream and I'm actually scared I won't like it (a lot of people hate it).

5. Stephen King
It's not that I don't like horror or thriller novels, it's just that I've never been a fan of this genre. I have read a few horror books that I have actually liked but have never gotten the urge to read one of Stephen's works yet. Even though his books are quite popular and I've been hearing a lot about them, I still haven't tried reading one.

6. Jenny Han
Oh, it feels like I'm the only one who hasn't swooned over a Jenny Han book yet. Next time. I promise.

7. William Shakespeare
I know that it is probably a crime to have not yet read at least one of Shakespeare's books but I can honestly say that I've never read one. I have already established that I don't really read classics and this is not an exception. But yes, in the future!

8. Jane Austen
Oh, again with the classics. I'm sorry but I will definitely try this out next time!

9. J. K. Rowling
I have watched the movies and both Kimi and Audrey have told me a lot about the books so it seems a bit like I've read the books myself! Sadly though, I haven't but I promise to read the books soon!

10. Dan brown
I know that a lot of controversy has been revolving around Dan Brown's books but I have never read a single one of them. For a while around last year, all I could hear from people are their opinions on Dan Brown's books. I was a bit curious but not enough to actually pick up one.

  1. I'm always surperised everytime someone confessed that they haven't read JK Rowling's books. I mean, hello, Harry Potter?! lol I just assumed everyone in the planet has read them.....
By the way, I haven't read any Stephen King's books too, and it's exactly because I don't read horror/thriller books. I'm too much of a coward to actually read them! X)

    1. I know! It seems like everyone I know, aside from Beryl, has read Harry Potter! I don't really read horror/thriller books too which is probably one of the reasons why I haven't read Stephen King's books. Thanks for stopping by, Tirta!

  3. No Mitch Album, Veronica Rossi, or Jane Austin for me as well! Didn't you have to read Shakespeare in School? I know I read several of his works in High School. :) Great list!

    1. We've heard that in other schools, students are required to read William Shakespeare's books but in our school, we aren't required to read Shakespeare's works. We read other books by other authors which is why we've never read any of Shakespeare's books. Hope that cleared things up for you!

  4. Veronica Rossi made my list as well. Although I keep debating about reading her books.

Astonished by J.K. Rowling, personally, but it's not the first time I've seen it today!

Maureen Johnson though, oh she was awesome! I admit I've only read The Name of the Star, but that's because the second book ended with an extreme cliffhanger--so I'm told--and while I bought it came out, I try to avoid cliffhangers when at all possible. The third book is supposed to release this fall, so I'll start the second one sometime around then too!

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!
