Life of a Blogger: Camping

lifeofblogger
Life of a Blogger is a weekly meme that is hosted by Jessi at Novel Heartbeat. Every week there is a different topic and this week's topic is camping!

We have NEVER gone camping, it's something that we've never really thought about doing. We think that it would probably be fun to go camping but we don't really have opportunities to go camping.

Whenever we think about going on a vacation, we don't really consider camping. We usually go to other countries or visit new places in The Philippines. We don't go camping because we don't really know where to camp and don't really like thinking about where we would urinate and defecate if ever we go camping. We have always been big fans of hygiene so the idea of camping wasn't too tempting. Even though it is like that, we still believe that if we do go camping, we'll have a lot of fun. Maybe sometime in the future, we will finally try to go camping and might even find it enjoyable. Maybe in the future, we will be blogging about our experiences while camping and will want to go camping again.

We don't really know much about camping so we can't really say much about it. We're not sure of we'll like camping or if we'll hate it but if we were ever invited to go camping, we would probably accept since it's a new experience and we love new experiences. We love trying new things and if the opportunity arises, we will go and camp!

We have a list of reasons why we would go camping and a list of reasons why we wouldn't go camping. We'll list them down here in this post.

Reasons Why We Would Go Camping:

1. The fresh air
It's a major factor in why we would go camping. We spend so much time indoors that we barely go out and get a breath of fresh air.

2. The experience
Not many people that we know have ever gone camping, going camping would provide us with a great and exciting story to tell people.

3. Acquiring skills
We're not sure whether we would learn any new skills while camping but in all the books and movies we've read that included camping, the hero or heroine has always learned some new, cool thing.

4. Campfires and marshmallows
You guys all know that we love eating we think that nothing beats the experience of eating slightly burnt marshmallows by the campfire.

Reasons Why We Wouldn't Go Camping:

1. For hygienic purposes
The explanation has been stated above.

2. Gadgets
Where would we charge our gadgets if ever we were to go camping? We can't imagine being away from our gadgets for even a single day!

3. Mosquitoes and other insects
We believe that there are a lot of insects in the great outdoors and we'd rather not get bitten. We really don't like insects even though we know that some of them are useful to us in some way.

4. Uncomfortable ground
We're not entirely sure if sleeping on the wilderness floor with just a sleeping bag and tent would be uncomfortable or surprisingly comfy but we wouldn't want to risk it. We really love sleeping, especially on a comfortable bed with fluffy pillows and we don't think that camping is suitable for fluffy pillows.

Have you ever gone camping? What did you think about it? Leave a comment!

RANDOM RAMBLINGS: Generation Z & Adults

WARNING: THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL ADULTS

Teenagers have always been a mystery to adults, but honestly we're not that mysterious. Adults misunderstand us. They think we're the kind of people who will end up homeless and unemployed. They think that we're disrespectful, sarcastic, shallow people who will end up becoming bums and/or couch potatoes. Well, we're not (although, inevitably, some of us will). Adults judge. Some of them act like they know everything, not accepting correction.

I would like to talk about some topics that involve our generation and adults.

1. Technology
All that talk about technology ruling the younger generation's brains, making us more and more stupid everyday, is absolute crap. It's just not true. Adults also use a lot of gadgets! Some of them even rely on it more than we do! Some of them think that you won't get anything done without gadgets. Those people probably wouldn't stand a day without their phones or their computers. It's true that some teenagers are like that too. I am as guilty of this as the unnamed adults that I am talking about. Gadgets aren't useless but they aren't the way to everything either.

2. Assumptions
Let me just say that I hate it when adults assume things that aren't even remotely correct. They judge people by how they dress. They judge books and movies by the covers or the titles and I just hate that. I know that when they do this they're just looking out for us, but that doesn't make it less frustrating. I hate it when adults say that a book is not appropriate simply because of the title or the cover. I hate it when adults say that a person must be bad just because they dress in the wrong color, or if they frown too much.
